UV LAMPS inspection for NDT crack detection
NDT Wash Station UV-A blacklights are used in non-destructive testing for crack detection during the inspection stage of both fluorescent magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant processes. They are also used at wash stations during removal of fluorescent penetrant. Defects literally jump out at the inspector due to the dramatic contrast between the bright glowing image of a defect against a dull background. Examples include; hairline cracks in aircraft landing gear, automotive steering systems and many other safety critical components on which our lives may depend. We offer a wide range of UV blacklight inspection lamps incorporating high intensity discharge (HID) bulbs, low pressure (LP) tubes and LEDs from hand lamps and torches to light guide systems and large area flood lamps. UV LAMPS inspection for dust filter leak testing and detection
A wide range of UV blacklight fluorescent inspection lamps for filter leak detection processes. UV fluorescent additive or powder is mixed with a dust filtration system. The equipment is then operated as normal to allow the fluorescent additive to circulate throughout. Inspection under UV blacklight of all external surfaces, pipework, joints and coils will reveal leaks as a bright fluorescent glow. This process can be used for routine quality control or trouble shooting procedures and offers improved probability of filter leak detection. Selection of UV LAMPS equipment should be optimised for a particular application and depends on the requirements for UV LAMPS irradiation area, UV LAMPS intensity, process integration and ambient light levels.
UV LAMPS inspection for fluid leak detection
Fluid Leak InspectionUV-A blacklights are used in conjunction with UV fluorescent tracer additives to quickly detect fluid leaks and pinpoint their exact source. examples of applications include hot run tests during internal combustion engine manufacture. Most of the major petrol and diesel vehicle engine, earth moving equipment and fork lift truck manufacturers are using our UV inspection lamps. The UV fluorescent additive is mixed with a fluid system, e.g. water, oils, fuels, coolants and refrigerants. The equipment is then operated as normal to allow the fluorescent additive to circulate throughout. Where a leak occurs the UV fluorescent tracer escapes with the fluid and remains at the site of the leak and along the flow path. Inspection under UV blacklight of all external surfaces, pipework, joints, connectors, gasket seals and coils will reveal the leak location and flow path as a bright fluorescent yellow/green glow. This process can be used for routine quality control or trouble shooting procedures and offers vastly improved probability of fluid leak detection. We offer a wide range of UV blacklight inspection lamps incorporating high intensity discharge (HID) bulbs, low pressure (LP) tubes and LEDs from hand lamps and torches to light guide systems and large area flood lamps for fluid leak detection processes. Selection of UV LAMPS equipment should be optimised for a particular application and depends on the requirements for UV LAMPS irradiation area, UV LAMPS intensity, process integration and ambient light levels.

Selection of UV LAMPS equipment should be optimised for a particular application and depends on the requirements for UV LAMPS irradiation area, UV LAMPS intensity, process integration and ambient light levels.
UV LAMPS inspection for quality control of eggs
Our LUYOR-3104 hand held flood lamp has become essential standard inspection equipment for quality control of free range eggs. It is widely used by DEFRA egg marketing inspectors, egg packing centres, wholesalers and food processors for detection of wash marks or evidence of egg washing and wiping. Washing or wiping eggs to remove adhering dirt or foreign materials is not permitted under EU regulations. This is because the egg shell has a natural protective coating, known as the cuticle which resists the penetration of bacteria. The content of an egg is usually sterile when laid. The main cause of microbiological contamination is the washing or wiping of eggs. Wetting the shell allows micro-organisms on the shell to penetrate and multiply inside. In addition to revelation of evidence of washing or wiping, the LUYOR-3104 Hand Lamp will highlight spoilage by bacteria and mould (pseudomonas bacteria). It will also show cade marks such as two parallel lines on the egg shell. These marks would be produced when the egg is laid and hits the bottom of the cage, providing evidence against unscrupulous farmers trying to pass off caged eggs as free range.
